HHGC and Community Partners Recognized by Senator Brian Jones for Lumpia Cup

Happy Hour Golf Club is proud to share that Lumpia Cup was formally recognized by California State Senator Brian Jones for its role in bringing the Filipino community together through golf.

The recognition was presented to the organizing partners behind the event — Happy Hour Golf Club, Mana Pono, Team Lomahan, and Luna’s Lumpia — acknowledging the collective effort to build a culturally driven golf tournament that strengthens community connections in San Diego.

Lumpia Cup was created to celebrate Filipino heritage through sport, food, and shared experience. What began as a community-focused golf event has grown into a meaningful annual gathering that blends culture and competition in a way that resonates far beyond the course.

This recognition highlights the impact that locally organized golf events can have when brands, businesses, and community leaders collaborate with intention.

For sponsors and partners, Lumpia Cup represents more than event visibility. It demonstrates the power of aligning with initiatives that:

• Serve a defined and engaged community
• Celebrate culture in an authentic way
• Create repeatable, high-energy in-person experiences
• Build long-term loyalty, not just one-day impressions

Happy Hour Golf Club remains committed to producing events that connect people while providing meaningful partnership opportunities for brands that want to be part of something larger than a tournament.

We’re grateful to Senator Brian Jones for recognizing the collective efforts of everyone involved — and we look forward to continuing to grow Lumpia Cup in the years ahead.
