Supporting kids through and beyond a parent’s cancer
Kesem supports children ages 6-18 through and beyond a parent’s cancer with free, fun-filled, creative programs and a lasting community. Kesem is the leading national organization dedicated to this unique population of over 5 million children.
Kesem is comprised of more than 4,000 volunteer college student leaders at over 120 college chapters nationwide. Kesem serves 7,500-10,000 children yearly through free year-round programming, including our flagship summer program, Camp Kesem, the national virtual offering, Club Kesem, and day programs. Kesem also provides care packages, personalized greetings, birthday cards, local gatherings, and leadership groups for youth and adolescents and their families.

Our partnership with Kesem is rooted in a deeply personal history. At age 13, our club president, Noly, lost his mother to cancer. Years later, tragedy struck again when he lost his sister to the same disease.
When his mother passed, he and his siblings found themselves navigating the overwhelming weight of grief without a structured support system. They spent many years, grieving, heartbroken, and felt very alone.
However, the experience was profoundly different for the next generation. His sister’s children found their way to Kesem, becoming counselors at the camp. Despite never being campers themselves, they were able to navigate their grief much better than the previous generation, finding a community that understood exactly what they were going through.
At Happy Hour Golf Club, our goal is simple: we want to help send as many children impacted by a parent’s cancer to Camp Kesem as we can. We believe every child deserves the chance to experience the magic of camp and the comfort of a community that understands them. Your support directly translates into life-changing experiences for these kids.
